The Access Point

The Extricom RP-22En is a powerful 802.11n access point with two on-board radios, and external antennas, for maximum throughput and easy deployment of 802.11n with or without legacy Wi-Fi.
The EXRP-22En is equipped with two dual stream radios, each of which can be operated on the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band to provide network administrators with the ultimate in RF deployment flexibility. Since most of the system intelligence resides in the Extricom WLAN switch, AP installation is truly plug-and-play. APs can be deployed in any density, with whatever spacing needed to guarantee high-quality, high-speed connectivity everywhere.

Key Benefits

  • High throughput due to very efficient use of 2.4 and 5 GHz bands by Channel Blanket™ architecture
  • Rock-solid wireless connections that behave like wire
  • Full support for 802.11a/b/g/n devices
  • 2 internal radios: 2 x 802.11a/b/g/n, for support of 2 channel blankets
  • 300 mbps maximum air rate per 802.11n radio
  • Rogue detection
  • GbE port for AP to switch communication

802.3af PoE supports maximum air rate on all radios

The Extricom Difference

Simpler Installation and Maintenance. The Extricom WLAN eliminates complex cell-planning, making installation much easier.  Its easy to use management interface also simplifies system setup and maintenance.

Full Performance In Mixed Environment. Extricom Channel Blanket deployment of Extricom RP-33n APs permits ‘n’ and legacy ‘a/b/g’ devices to co-exist, in either band, with full speed and throughput maintained for all.

Continuous Mobility. Client devices move anywhere within the Extricom Channel Blanket without experiencing inter-AP handoffs, re-authentication or latency, enabling no-handoff mobility for enterprise wireless LANs.

Centralized Access. Extricom switches coordinate media access for all of the connected APs and eliminate co-channel interference, which leads to higher performance and more stable operation under heavy load.

Service Flexibility. Extricom’s multi-layer, multi-channel architecture with overlapping Channel Blankets provides physical segregation of wireless clients and applica

tions. Voice clients can be isolated on one channel, and data clients on another. This flexible approach translates into higher throughput, more stable and predictable wireless LAN performance and the ability to offer service level guarantees.

TrueReuse™. An Extricom patented technology, increases capacity by permitting simultaneous transmissions on the same channel within the Channel Blanket.
